Starting in Port Elizabeth you drive down through St. Francis Bay, the Storms River, Plettenberg Bay, Knysna, Sedgefield, the Wilderness, Oudsthoorn and George. Then you will continue on to Hermanus, famous for its whale-watching (July and November). Turning inland, deep into the winelands you travel towards the famous wineland towns of Stellenbosch and Paarl. Finally you finish up at Cape Townto relax and enjoy Table Mountain, the Waterfront and the rest of the Peninsula.

This holiday is available throughout the year in two standards of accommodation, standard and upgrade. Standard properties are high quality guest-house, country houses and lodges, Upgrade properties are excellent standard.

The price per person varies between £1,695 (upgrade: £2,450) (May - Sept) and £1,795 (upgrade: £2,550 (Rest of year excluding Christmas and Easter). This is based on the best priced flights and the accommodation listed. Should these not be available, the price will increase.

Full itinerary:

Day 1: Depart the UK.

Day 2: Arrive Port Elizabeth. On arrival, met and given your information pack. Drive to your guest house on the coast to relax.

Day 3: Drive to Knysna, exploring as you go places like Jeffers Bay.

Day 4: Day to explore the Knysna Lagoon and the beautiful coastline. You could travel inland to Oudtshoorn, the ‘Feather Capital’ of South Africa and visit the Cango Caves. There is also the Outeniqua Pass and spectacular Wilderness National Park. Second night in Knysna.

Day 5: Drive to Hermanus which during season is South Africas foremost whale-watching town. Places to visit en route include Mossel Bay, Swellendam or several National Park.

Day 6: Head to Franschhoek and/or to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, dating back to 1679. There are numerous wine estates to visit in this area, so take a tour of the cellars and taste the wine. Arrive Cape Town.

Day 7: Sightseeing in Cape Town.

Day 8: Sightseeing in Cape Town.

Day 9: Last day in Cape Town. Transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.

Day 10: Arrive UK
