This group tour can depart from the UK on any Friday. It is a smaller group than the South Africa Essential tour and stays in superior properties.

This holiday is available throughout the year, departing every Friday from the UK.

The price per person varies between £2,995 (April - Sept) and £3,195 (Rest of year, excluding Christmas).

This is based on the best priced flights and the accommodation listed. Should these not be available, the price will increase.

Day 1 Depart the UK in the evening.

Day 2 On arrival in Johannesburg. Half day Johannesburg City Tour.

Day 3 Mpumalanga, via the historic towns of Witbank, Dullstroom and Lydenburg.

Day 4 Mac Mac Waterfalls and to the historic town of Pilgrim's Rest. Panorama Route featuring the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window and various waterfalls. Continue to your private game lodge near the Kruger National Park. Evening game drive in an open safari vehicle.

Day 5 Kruger National Park

Day 6 Kingdom of Swaziland. DUbizane Game Reserve.

Day 7 Morning safari in Hluhluwe Game Reserve then a visit to St Lucia, a World Heritage Site, for a river cruise on the estuary to watch the fish eagles, hippo and crocodiles. Durban.

Day 8 Optional full day tour of Shakaland. Otherwise at leisure in Durban.

Day 9 Morning at leisure. Fly to Port Elizabeth .

Day 10 Start the Garden Route, visiting the Tsitsikamma Forest area include the Big After lunch at the scenic Storms River mouth continue via Plettenberg Bay to Knysna. Stay at the seaside village of Wilderness.

Day 11 Morning trip to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Afternoon visit to an elephant sanctuary.

Day 12 Cross the Outeniqua Pass as we go to Oudtshoorn to visit the Safari Ostrich Ranch and Cango Caves. Back to Wilderness for the night.

Day 13 Drive to Cape Town via Mossel Bay and other pretty settlements and towns. Enjoy a wine tasting before you sit down to a real South African lunch in a typical country restaurant in Barrydale.

Day 14 Full day Cape Highlights tour, including Camps Bay, Chapmans Peak, Cape of Good Hope Reserve, Simonstown, Wine-tasting and Stellenbosch.

Day 15 Free morning. Transfer to the airport in time for your flight.

Day 16 Arrive UK
